The Vortex Impact 4000 is a rail-mounted laser rangefinder and ballistic computer that takes the guesswork out of long-range shooting — delivering quick, accurate wind and drop solutions without ever leaving the shooting position. With an integrated GeoBallistics solver, onboard environmental sensors, patented Wind Bearing Capture Mode, 10 customizable ballistic profiles, and 4,000-yard reflective range — the Impact 4000 gives competition shooters, hunters, and long-range enthusiasts a complete point-and-shoot solution mounted directly on their rifle.
Overview
Ballistics calculations have traditionally required the shooter to leave the shooting position to range and calculate a solution. The Impact 4000 solves this entirely — the integrated GeoBallistics solver, onboard compass, humidity, barometric pressure, and temperature sensors, and Wind Bearing Capture Mode all work together to deliver accurate wind and drop solutions directly on the 1.3" LCD display from the shooting position. Ten preloaded and customizable ballistic profiles cover the most common cartridges out of the box, and Vortex Relay connects seamlessly to the GeoBallistics app and Bluetooth remote for expanded functionality. The rugged Picatinny mount holds zero even under heavy recoil.

Wind Bearing Capture Mode
The patented Wind Bearing Capture Mode uses the onboard compass to track wind direction regardless of which direction the shooter is facing — allowing accurate manual wind input from the shooting position without reorienting toward the wind source.
Environmental Sensors
The Impact 4000 measures temperature, pressure, and humidity to calculate density altitude automatically. Environmental data can also be manually entered or pulled from the GeoBallistics app's Atmospherics Page via a connected weather meter or local weather station.
Calibration Notes
⚠️ Calibrate during initial setup before mounting to the gun. Recalibrate when changing location by 30+ miles. Remove from gun before calibrating. Calibrate outdoors away from large metal structures.
